Privacy Policy

Who we are
Digitalizer Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15267581). If you have questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at marian@digitalizer.uk.
Photos stay in your browser
The photo geotagging tool runs entirely in your browser. The images you upload, the GPS coordinates you enter, and the geotagged output files are processed locally on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers or to any third party.
What data we collect
If you choose to enter your email address to save your geotagging progress or receive follow-up tips, we collect your email address only. We also collect anonymous usage data through cookies if you consent to them (see our cookie policy for details).
When you use the "look up address" feature, your typed address is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to convert it into GPS coordinates. No other personal data is included in this request.
Why we collect it
We use your email (if provided) to let you know about related free tools and our paid services. We use analytics data to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.
Legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we process your data based on consent. You actively provide your email by entering it into our form, and you choose whether to accept analytics cookies through our consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time.
How we store your data
Email addresses are stored securely in our database (Supabase) hosted in the EU. Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics on their servers under their privacy policy.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data to anyone. The third-party services that process data on our behalf are: Supabase (database hosting), Google Analytics (website analytics), and OpenStreetMap Nominatim (address-to-coordinates lookup, which receives only the address you typed).
How long we keep your data
We keep your email for up to 24 months or until you ask us to remove it. Analytics data is retained according to the default retention period set by Google Analytics (14 months).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw your consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your rights have been violated.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at marian@digitalizer.uk and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
For full details on the cookies we use and how to manage them, see our cookie policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We won't make significant changes without letting you know.
